DreamHack Skellefteå has seen the end of day one, we bring you a small update and a preview of what will go on, on day two.
The first day at DreamHack Skellefteå saw the WCG drop-in qualifier, WCG group stage and the DreamHack 100.000 SEK group stage. Day two will feature the playoffs in both tournaments. Delays are expected at almost any event, DreamHack too without any exceptions. Due to WCG and DreamHacks own tournament taking place on the same tournament PC’s, the matches being played in one tournament would automatically delay the next matches in the other tournament. With delays the tournaments did find their end of day one, but much later than expected.
Day two will feature the playoff stage for both WCG Sweden and the DreamHack tournament. Just four teams remains in the race to qualify for WCG. The two top contenders, fnatic and SK Gaming, went through the group stage flawless. Joining them in the bracket will be Begrip and Blank.

The DreamHack have also reach the playoff stage, continuing in a group stage, as the wildcarded teams (fnatic, SK Gaming, Blank) will enter the tournament just now. Five teams have made it through the first group stage and will now join the three wildcarded teams in the second group stage. The second group stage will be played in two groups of four teams, top 2 advances to the bracket.
The teams advancing from the second group stage will be one step closer to the 50.000 SEK in first prize.
HLTV.org will be bringing you all the action up close. If you missed anything from day one, make sure to check our coverage sections (WCG & DreamHack).
XLBet is also following the activity at DreamHack Skellefteå. Matches being played on day two has already been put up, so feel free to place a few dimes on your favourite team.
